  • Secondary school based in Camden, London
  • £25,000–£30,000 salary, depending on experience
  • Full-time, long-term position
  • September 2026 start
  • Monday–Friday school-based role
  • Ideal for an Oxford or Cambridge graduate

  • Support students aiming for Grades 7–9 at GCSE and A/A* at A-Level

The Role

This is considerably more than a traditional Teaching Assistant position.

As an Oxbridge Graduate Tutor, you will become part of the school's academic intervention programme, using your subject knowledge and academic experience to stretch, challenge and inspire students.

You could be supporting pupils who are working towards the very highest GCSE and A-Level grades, helping students overcome specific gaps in their knowledge and mentoring ambitious sixth-formers considering applications to Russell Group and Oxbridge universities.

Depending on your degree specialism, you could provide tuition within Maths, Science, English, Humanities, Languages or another academic subject.

Who Are We Looking For?

The school is particularly interested in graduates who can demonstrate:

  • A degree from the University of Oxford or University of Cambridge
  • Strong A-Level and GCSE academic results
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Confidence communicating with young people
  • A genuine interest in education
  • The ability to explain challenging concepts clearly
  • High expectations and a professional approach
  • A desire to potentially progress into teaching or education

The School

Located in Camden, this is an academically ambitious secondary school with high expectations for both pupils and staff. The school places significant emphasis on academic achievement, university progression and widening access to leading universities.

You will receive support and training throughout the academic year, making this an outstanding opportunity to build substantial experience before potentially progressing into teacher training in 2027.
