Logistics Coordinator

Right Hire Recruitment is seeking a motivated Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate transport operations, ensuring the efficient, compliant and timely movement of goods across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all inbound and outbound transport activities across the business.
• Plan collections, deliveries and transport schedules to meet operational demands.
• Liaise with despatch teams and external transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage transport documentation, delivery notes and quality certifications.
• Allocate driver jobs and maintain accurate transport schedules using transport management systems.
• Coordinate European import and export shipments, ensuring customs compliance and accurate documentation.
• Monitor transport performance, resolve operational issues and escalate delays where necessary.
• Maintain transport records and systems, including ERP platforms.
• Work closely with internal departments to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and transport regulations.

🔹 What We’re Looking For

• Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience with Epicor, SAP or similar business systems.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and international shipping procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• An understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Previous experience in transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
