Senior Software Engineers/Mainframe Developers

For one of our financial clients, we are looking for 2 strong mainframe developers focused on securities, investment, and settlement tasks.

• Develop and maintain Mainframe solutions supporting the Securities Trading area.
• Analyze existing solutions and translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Work with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ in the IBM z/OS environment.
• Participate in development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Contribute to regulatory and mandatory deliveries affecting Securities Trading.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, architects, QA, and other development teams.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards for software quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical documentation and systematic knowledge sharing.
• Support knowledge transfer and help build stronger Mainframe competence and backup within the team.
• Participate actively in Agile events and break larger requirements into actionable development activities.

Key Requirements

• A curious mind with an open nature and a desire to knowledge-share with others.
• Experience with modern development practices including version control and code review.
• Ability to analyze complex existing Mainframe applications and understand dependencies between systems.
• Strong experience developing solutions on IBM z/OS.
• Solid COBOL programming skills.
• Experience with CICS.
• Experience working with DB2.
• Good understanding of JCL.
• Experience with MQ / Message Queue.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
