Senior Care Assistant – Full Time (Days or Nights) – Luxury Retirement Home – AV2048

Location: Emsworth, West Sussex

Pay: £35,143.00 Per Annum

About the Home

This warm and characterful care home is situated in Emsworth, close to Chichester Harbour. The home provides a welcoming and comfortable environment where residents receive professional, person-centred care in genuinely homely surroundings.

Set within a large country house, the home combines traditional charm with modern standards of care. Supporting up to 39 adults, the service provides residential, dementia and respite care, with a particular focus on supporting people living with dementia.

Residents benefit from spacious, well-proportioned rooms, attractive shared areas and beautiful landscaped gardens, providing opportunities for companionship, relaxation and enjoying the outdoors.

Although the home enjoys a peaceful rural setting, it is conveniently located close to the village centre, with the coast also within easy reach.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents to live happy, comfortable and fulfilling lives while helping to maintain high standards of care across the home.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring and supporting care staff on shift

Delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Supporting residents with personal care and daily living needs

Administering medication, with training provided where required

Maintaining accurate care records and documentation

Supporting residents living with dementia

Promoting independence, dignity and choice

Creating a calm, positive and supportive environment

Communicating effectively with residents, families and colleagues

About You

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential care setting

Strong experience supporting older people

Dementia care experience is desirable

Medication training is desirable

A compassionate, caring and person-centred approach

Strong communication and leadership skills

Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team

A genuine passion for providing high standards of care
