Location: Tameside

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:40pm

Pay: £16.78 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Tameside, providing dedicated support to pupils throughout the school day.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people, enjoys helping others and wants to make a positive difference in a school environment.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

Provide dedicated support to pupils throughout the school day.

Support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.

Provide one-to-one or small-group support where required.

Encourage pupils to participate in lessons and school activities.

Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

Support pupils with a range of individual needs.

Work alongside teaching staff to help create a positive and engaging environment.

Build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.

Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Patient, caring and approachable.

Passionate about supporting children and young people.

Confident providing individual support.

Reliable, punctual and professional.

Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.

Calm and adaptable when dealing with different needs and situations.

Confident working as part of a team.

Previous experience working in a school, education, care or support setting is desirable but not essential.
