Registered Nurse & Nursing Home Manager – Somerset
We are currently recruiting for nursing professionals to join an established nursing home in Somerset.
There are currently two permanent opportunities available:
1. Registered Nurse
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care within a supportive nursing home environment.
Requirements
*
Registered Nurse / RGN. Ideally 1–2 years’ RGN experience
*
Nursing home experience preferred
*
Strong clinical and communication skills
*
Compassionate and person-centred approach to care
*
Good understanding of safeguarding, medication management and care standards
Roles & Responsibilities
*
Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents
*
Assess, plan and review residents’ care needs
*
Administer medication and treatments safely
*
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
*
Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes
*
Work closely with care staff, healthcare professionals and residents’ families
*
Support the wider care team in maintaining high standards of care and safety
*
Follow relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

2. Nursing Home Manager
We are looking for an experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day management and overall operation of the nursing home.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the care team while ensuring high standards of resident care, compliance and service delivery.
Requirements
*
Level 5 qualification preferred
*
RGN preferred, but not essential
*
Candidates without RGN can be considered with strong, proven nursing home management experience
*
Proven experience in nursing home management or a senior leadership position
*
Strong understanding of care standards, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
*
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Roles & Responsibilities
*
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the nursing home
*
Lead, manage and support the care team
*
Ensure high standards of person-centred care are maintained
*
Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, policies and regulatory standards
*
Support staff development, training and performance
*
Manage relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals
*
Contribute to care planning and quality improvement
*
Ensure effective staffing, communication and operational processes
*
Promote a safe, positive and supportive environment for residents and staff
