About the School
Belmont School is an independent specialist school providing education for boys aged 5–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated complex behaviours. The school operates as one community across two phases: a Primary Phase in Rossendale for pupils aged 5–11 and a Secondary Phase in Rawtenstall for pupils aged 11–18.
At Belmont, we provide a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where every pupil is understood, supported and encouraged to succeed. Through small classes, personalised learning pathways and therapeutic support, we help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and resilience, and take pride in their achievements.
Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides opportunities for academic, vocational and creative development, alongside a strong focus on social development, independence and essential life skills. We work hard to nurture aspiration and equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make a positive contribution to society and achieve a successful future.
With provision across both the Primary and Secondary phases, Belmont offers a genuinely joined-up educational journey, supporting pupils from their earliest years through to adulthood.
The school is easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bury, Burnley and the surrounding areas.
