Science Technician (Physics) - Temporary

Working for a well-established school based in Reading, this temporary Science Technician (Physics) position is working 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and is paying approximately £14.40-£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an ASAP start, providing temporary cover within the Science department.

Duties:

Prepare and set up equipment and apparatus for Physics lessons

Support practical lessons and examination practicals

Maintain and organise laboratory equipment

Provide day-to-day support to Physics teaching staff

Assist across other Science subjects when required

Ensure equipment and practical areas are prepared safely and efficientlyExperience required:

Previous laboratory, Science Technician or relevant practical experience

A Physics, Engineering or Electronics background would be advantageous

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Confident working both independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working within a school environmentThis role is subject to the relevant safeguarding and Enhanced DBS checks
