Description:

We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support schools in Croydon, with opportunities available for an immediate start.

This is a great opportunity for Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to work within a friendly, supportive and welcoming school environment.

Both full-time and ad hoc opportunities are available, providing flexibility depending on your availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and development

• Provide one-to-one or small-group support where required

• Assist pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs

• Help implement individual learning and support plans

• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

• Support pupils in accessing classroom activities

• Work closely with teachers and other school staff

• Provide appropriate emotional and pastoral support

• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

• Assist with classroom activities and daily routines

• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality

• Follow school safeguarding and health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role

• Experience working with children with SEN/SEND

• Understanding of additional learning needs and support strategies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient, caring and supportive approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare

• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

• Relevant references

• Availability for Monday–Friday work
