Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

In this ACP role at Sheffield Walk-in Centre you will operate at the top of your scope to independently assess, diagnose and manage minor illness across all ages. You will work within a clinically led, safety-focused urgent care service and use advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing. You will identify red flags, escalate when needed, and contribute to smooth patient flow and high-quality teamwork. • Independently assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients with minor illness
• Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing
• Identify red flags and escalate in line with governance
• Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting

• Current NMC registration with no restrictions
• MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or Level 7 ACP courses with modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills, Minor Illness/Injuries, Disease Management
• Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
• Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
