Experienced Clinical Coder required for an immediate start in a busy GP practice in Huddersfield!

Are you an experienced Clinical Coder with a strong background in NHS General Practice? Are you available immediately and confident working in a fast-paced GP surgery environment?

We are currently recruiting an experienced Clinical Coder to support a friendly, well-established GP practice in Huddersfield on a temporary basis. The practice urgently needs additional support to help clear a backlog, so we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal training.

Previous GP practice experience and NHS clinical coding experience are essential for this role.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately coding patient records using Anima
• Reviewing, scanning and coding incoming clinical documents
• Ensuring patient records are accurate, complete and up to date
• Managing incoming emails and maintaining electronic and medical records
• Supporting the practice with general GP administration as required
• Helping the team reduce the existing clinical coding backlog efficiently and accurately

Essential

requirements

• Previous experience working within a GP practice is essential
• Strong NHS clinical coding experience is essential
• Confident using Anima and familiar with GP clinical systems such as SystmOne or EMIS
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
• A proactive approach and the ability to get started with minimal training
