Create Education is looking for a confident, reliable and personable Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school in Camden, North/Northwest London.

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around a secondary school, is comfortable managing a classroom and can keep students engaged when their usual teacher is absent. Experience is key here, so you’ll need a strong background working in secondary school settings and previous experience as a Cover Supervisor.

You don’t need to be a subject specialist, but if you have a particular strength in a subject area, that would be a bonus!

Just as important as your experience is your personality. A good sense of humour, a positive attitude and the ability to build rapport with young people will go a long way. We’re looking for someone who can strike the right balance between being approachable and maintaining clear boundaries.

What will you be doing?

Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work.

Managing classroom behaviour confidently and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Delivering instructions clearly and supporting students with their learning where appropriate.

Adapting to different subjects, classes and classroom environments throughout the school day.

Building positive relationships with students and staff while upholding the school's behaviour policies.

Providing reliable, consistent support to the school and its teaching staff.What are we looking for?

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor is essential.

Extensive experience working within secondary school settings.

Confident classroom management and behaviour management skills.

A positive, approachable personality and good interpersonal skills.

A sense of humour, resilience and the ability to think on your feet.

Flexibility and the confidence to work across a range of subjects.

A DBS registered on the Update Service, or the ability and willingness to apply for one immediately.What's in it for you?
