Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per annum

The Opportunity

Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of an established business in Malvern to recruit a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounts administration, credit control or finance who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive working environment.

Working closely with the Finance Manager,

you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliations and tenant account management.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments and expenses.

Maintain accurate financial records and tenant accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Support credit control and rent collection activities, contacting tenants regarding outstanding payments via telephone, email and written correspondence.

Complete bank reconciliations and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Maintain and update financial databases using Xero and Microsoft Excel.

Monitor outstanding balances and produce regular reports on arrears, payment status and collection progress.

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance and property management teams.

Ensure financial processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures.

Assist with audits and other ad hoc finance-related projects.About You

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident working with financial information, with the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in an accounts, finance administration, credit control or similar role.

Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Confident communication skills, particularly when dealing with payment queries and outstanding balances.

The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.

A professional, approachable manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Experience in property management, tenant accounts or Workday software would be advantageous but is not essential.
