HIRING: FOOT MOBILE MULTI-SKILLED BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER

Full-time, permanent position

I'm recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout London.

This is a foot-mobile role suited to an organised, technically capable engineer who is comfortable travelling between sites using public transport and walking routes.

The Role

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.

Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical building services.

Maintain pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating and hot-water systems.

Work on LTHW, chilled-water systems, ventilation and controls.

Complete plumbing, lighting, small power and general building services maintenance.

Undertake minor remedial works and first-line fault finding.

Update and close work orders using CAFM systems.

Record labour, materials, asset condition and follow-on works.

Liaise with clients, helpdesk teams and specialist contractors.

Maintain high standards of health and safety, compliance and customer service.

What We're Looking For

Relevant Level 3 mechanical qualification in mechanical engineering, plumbing, heating, HVAC or building services.

Relevant Level 3 electrical qualification in electrical installation or maintenance.

Current 18th Edition qualification where required for the role's electrical duties.

Strong practical experience across mechanical and electrical building services.

Previous commercial FM, mobile or multi-site maintenance experience.

Good fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently.

Experience using CAFM or mobile work-order systems.

Ability to organise daily travel across London using public transport and walking routes.

Relevant health and safety training, including asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at height, or willingness to complete required training.
