Healthcare Assistant

• Supporting a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in the delivery of exceptional patient care, pre and post surgery

Day ward: Our newly opened day ward comprises of minor procedures such as-

• Cataract surgery
• Endoscopy
• Minor local anaesthetic procedures
• Pain clinics.
• Varicose vein surgery.

It is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and occasional Saturdays. You will be expected to cover a variety of shift patterns across these hours to meet the needs of the ward., Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Healthcare Assistant on the ward at our hospital, you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and hold relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
