We are proud to partner with a leading global manufacturer of advanced technology and engineering systems to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor. With a global presence, this role is based at their flagship site in Buckinghamshire, with occasional travel to Cheltenham, and will support the Head of Health, Safety and Environment in driving site-wide HSE performance and continuous improvement.

The HSE Advisor will become an integral part of the site team, working closely with the Head of Health, Safety and Environment to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance and support the ongoing development of HSE standards across the business.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will include:

Supporting the Head of Health, Safety and Environment in ensuring the site is compliant with UK legislation and aligned with wider Group Health, Safety and Environment strategy

Helping to develop and implement initiatives to improve health and safety performance, awareness and understanding across the business

Supporting regular auditing across health, safety and environmental performance, as well as the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses

Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, contractors, regulators and relevant enforcement agenciesThe successful Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will have:

Proven experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing, chemical or industrial environment

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (minimum) and membership of IOSH or another relevant professional body

Ideally hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, or be working towards this

A strong technical knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
