Medical Records Clerk
Clinical Role Overview
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a Medical Records Clerk (Band 2) to join our busy Medical Records Department based in Priorswood. This is an important operational role providing essential support to clinical services and helping to ensure patient records are available at the right place and at the right time.
The department is open from 06:00 to 18:00. The post holder will work 7.5-hour shifts, typically either 06:00-14:00 or 10:00-18:00, depending on service needs. Flexibility to work across these shift patterns is required.
As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a key role in the safe and effective care of our patients by managing the creation, retrieval, tracking, filing and secure movement of medical records. You'll join a supportive team and contribute to the Trust's vision for modernising medical records and progressing towards a digital records future.
This is a practical, hands on role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
