Personal/Home Care Assistant – Waking Nights
Clinical Role Overview
Personal/Home Care Assistant – Waking Nights
Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester
JOB REF: LG0926
We are looking for a new team member to join my son’s care team; the position is based at our family home in Cheadle Hulme.
£14.95 per hour
Friday 6.00pm – Saturday 10.00am (one week in four)
Saturday 6.00pm – Sunday 10.00am (one week in four
Please note these will not usually be scheduled on the same weekend
You must be a driver with a full UK driving licence and over the age of 21 for insurance purposes, and you must be confident driving a large automatic Ford Transit van.
My son is 25 and a Journalism graduate, and is now job hunting! He has his own room and bathroom, and a private staff/PA area.
Assisting him to live a full life is anything from driving him to a social event, just chilling at home with him where he likes to game, watch TV and play chess.
He has a severe physical disability which means he relies on various pieces of medical equipment, powered wheelchair and hoists. He also needs all personal care.
We require someone with a care background, with experience in using a hoist and bi-pap. Manual handling certification would be desirable and you will need to be relatively fit and able, to fully support my son with all moving and handling and re-positioning needs. You will need to be able to respect our privacy and confidentiality. You must have a good sense of humour!
Please note that we do not hold a licence to offer sponsorship. Smoking is not permitted while working.
