Mechanical Project Engineer - Boilers

Mechanical Project Engineers (Boiler) - 12 months plus contract role.

My client a Powerplant based in Co Galway have a number of contract roles coming upin relation to the lifecycle project upgrades across the powerplant sector in Ireland.

• Supervise the activities of contractors ensuring compliance in the safe delivery of works.


• Evaluation of Programme/Plans and RAMS to ensure the safe setting to work of contractors.


• manage contractors to deliver assigned project work.


• Act as the key point of contact at site for agreed work packages including the coordination between contractors, individuals and site stakeholders.


• Monitor, track and report progress against the Contract Programme, notifying the Site Manager (and Project Team) of any delay/disruption, opportunities or Value Engineering opportunities.


• Through the use of a document management process ensure compliance with the contract, scope of supply, specification, standards and quality.


• Provide support and input to the Project Manager and Site Manager in daily project matters.


• Contribute data and updates as ongoing part of the project’s reporting requirements.


• Identify and input into the project risk register potential risks (inclusive of mitigation measures)/opportunities.

• Working in a Power Station/ Engineering operations environment.
