Salary: Leadership Pay Scale 5-9 (£59,137-£65,278)
We are looking for the next leader to join our established Senior Leadership Team.
This is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children and young people that we teach.
This is a strategic role which combines quality assurance, school improvement and operational oversight to ensure the highest standards are maintained across all aspects of school life.
Sutherland House School is a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school is in the heart of the Creative Quarter in the City Centre, located near the Sneinton Avenues market area.
At Sutherland House School, Positive Behaviour Support and Person-Centred approaches are of paramount importance, and
you will be able to contribute to the continued strategic and operational development of these. We offer small class groups, high staffing ratios and excellent opportunities for training and continued professional development.
As a member of the School Leadership Team,
you will play a critical role in assuring the quality, consistency and effectiveness of provision across the school. You will work closely with leaders at all levels to monitor standards, evaluate impact and support continuous improvement, ensuring that the school remains aspirational for our students and delivers the very best outcomes.
You will lead on quality assurance activities across the school, including teaching and learning, pupil progress and outcomes, safeguarding, medication processes, risk assessments, compliance, policies and procedures, and the implementation of the Teacher Assurance Toolkit. Through monitoring, auditing and evaluation, you will provide assurance that systems and practice are effective, robust and centred on improving outcomes for pupils.
You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the School Governing Body, Board of Trustees and Autism East Midlands' Senior Management Team, providing evidence and assurance regarding the quality and effectiveness of provision across the school.
The successful candidate will be an analytical and reflective practitioner with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. They will be confident in providing both support and challenge and will share our commitment to delivering outstanding education, care and support for autistic children and young people.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience of quality assurance, school improvement, leadership, safeguarding, compliance or operational management within education or related sectors
