Metering and Billing Adviser
Clinical Role Overview
Are you someone who enjoys solving problems, working with detail, and helping customers get the right outcome? We’re looking for a Metering and Billing Adviser to join our Billing team and support the accurate, timely delivery of customer bills.
About the role
In this role, you’ll help manage the full billing cycle, making sure customer accounts are reviewed, updated, and billed accurately. You’ll investigate and resolve billing queries, work through suspended accounts, keep records up to date, and follow agreed processes to ensure customers receive clear and reliable service.
You’ll use a range of systems and information sources to understand what has happened on an account, identify what needs to be done, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to move queries through to resolution.
About you
You don’t need to have worked in water retail before, but you’ll bring strong attention to detail, confidence using multiple systems, and a practical, customer-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable handling information accurately, asking the right questions, and using your initiative to solve problems.
We’re looking for someone who can stay organised in a busy environment, communicate clearly, and work well as part of a team. If you enjoy getting into the detail, taking ownership of your work, and making things easier for customers, this could be a great role for you.
What’s in it for you
Starting salary £25,887, rising to £26,500 after training
Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home)
Monday – Friday, 9–5; no evenings or weekends
10% bonus, attractive pension, 31 days holiday + 6 bank holidays
Free gym, subsidised canteen, employee discounts
You’ll be joining one of the UK’s largest water retailers, in a fast‑paced, supportive environment where no two days are the same. If you want to grow your career and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
