Registered Veterinary Nurse - Newly Qualified Considered

Vetisco Limited bury st edmunds Posted 25 Oct 2026 Closing: 24 Nov 2026
Permanent On-site

Clinical Role Overview

We are looking for a full or part time RVN to join our brilliant team at Bury St Edmunds Vets for Pets!

You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. Based on the Moreton Hall Retail Park, we are in a great location with ample parking and fantastic access to local amenities.

We have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to lead and manage nurse clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures.

Our nursing team is composed of 3 FT RVNs and 2 PT VCAs. Our head nurse and senior RVN has over 25 years of experience so this position would also suit a recent graduate in search for their first role or excellent overall support.

We also have 3 vets, 2 of which have over 20 years experience. Ana has recently finished her certificate in Ophthalmology and Vanessa has a post-graduate in Small Furries, so the practice sees a fair amount of exotics, giving you plenty of variety in cases and to your day. Ana is keen to let her team grow and will support any interests you have, including a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (CertAVN). We are also fortunate to have peripatetic orthopaedic and cardiology services.

You should have excellent customer service and communication skills, and a good experience of veterinary nursing with a genuine interest in animal welfare, enjoying the variety provided by the clients and colleagues alike. We are looking for a warm, compassionate, and people-oriented colleague to join our team.

If you thrive on building meaningful connections and making a positive impact on both colleagues and patients, we would love to hear from you!

Benefits

We offer a supportive and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an excellent package and benefits that includes;

  • Competitive salary from £27,000 (pro rata and DOE)
  • Dedicated generous CPD allowance
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)
  • 20% off at Pets at Home (instore and online)
  • No OOH
  • Pension scheme
  • High Street, online and cashback rewards via our Reward Hub
  • Free onsite secure parking
