Salaried GP

As a GP at Botesdale Health Centre, you will manage a caseload in a rural primary care setting, delivering high-quality care to registered and temporary patients. You will work within a collaborative team to handle consultations, home visits, and medication management, while applying evidence-based protocols and contributing to audit and quality improvement. This role offers the chance to influence patient outcomes in a close-knit community. You will engage in continuous learning and service development to enhance patient care.

• Manage a caseload in primary care and provide a range of duties (surgery and telephone consultations, home visits)
• Check/sign repeat prescriptions and respond to queries and administrative tasks
• Make autonomous clinical decisions for presenting problems
• Assess health care needs of undifferentiated and undiagnosed patients
• Screen for disease risk factors and early illness signs
• Develop care plans in line with disease management protocols
• Admit or discharge patients and refer to other providers as appropriate
• Issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding handwritten prescriptions
• Prescribe in line with formulary (or generics) when appropriate
• Record clear consultation notes and collect data for audits
• Contribute to practice policies, guidelines and audit initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality, data protection and health and safety standards in practice
• Engage in infection control procedures and personal safety practices
• Participate in professional development and training events
