Salaried GP

As a Salaried GP at County Surgery, you deliver high-quality medical care to the local population under the GMS framework and uphold GMC standards. You join a multidisciplinary, community-focused team and contribute to continuous improvement, clinical governance, and training. This role offers scope to manage long-term conditions, support service delivery, and participate in audits and local initiatives. You will work to sustain compassionate, accessible primary care and a positive practice culture.

• Deliver effective medical care to the entitled population
• Provide services aligned with the GMS contract
• Prescribe in line with local and national guidance
• Manage long-term conditions
• Handle administration efficiently (referrals, prescriptions)
• Rotate through telephone triage and duty doctor shifts
• Maintain accurate clinical records
• Share workload collaboratively with the team
• Follow clinical guidelines and participate in audits
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
• Take delegated responsibility for specific areas or QOF
• Attend and contribute to practice meetings
• Support clinical governance, training, and CPD
• Ensure appraisal and revalidation processes
• Support medical student training
• Assist partners in achieving strategic aims, including income optimization and expenditure reduction
• Adhere to practice protocols and policies
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through staff liaison
• Participate in practice audits and local service initiatives
• Engage in root cause analysis for near-miss events
