Role

Senior Software Engineer II / Tech Lead on the External Platform EMEA team building an agentic platform that understands operational context and takes action to make physical operations more autonomous. The role focuses on platform capabilities such as reporting and intelligence, enterprise administration, developer and agent platform services, and business‑critical infrastructure (billing, license assignment, usage metering).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions, identify gaps in the telematics/data platform, and influence the roadmap.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to make cross‑team design decisions and ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Ship features that deliver customer value and iterate based on feedback.
• Deliver full‑stack features across frontend, backend, and mobile (teams use GoLang, GraphQL, Typescript, React, ReactNative among other technologies).
• Maintain production systems owned by the team and provide operational support.
• Shape core architecture and contribute to engineering-wide roadmaps and standards.
• Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing engineering team and mentor other engineers.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) throughout design, implementation, testing, and production investigations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience building and operating complex enterprise systems.
• Proven track record of turning partially defined problems into technical direction, execution plans, and measurable outcomes with substantial autonomy.
• Experience leading delivery through deep ownership of a critical system or coordinating across multiple services and teams.
• Ability to improve other engineers’ effectiveness through mentoring, design reviews, and clear technical decisions.
• Extensive use of AI throughout engineering workflows and ability to validate results and help teammates adopt effective AI workflows.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience building customer-facing web and mobile workflow applications.
• Experience driving significant value to customers and iterating products based on customer feedback.
• Experience in one or more of: reporting and data systems, enterprise administration (permissions, metadata, onboarding automation), developer and agent platforms (public APIs, event-driven systems, MCP servers), billing and monetization systems, or full-stack product development.
