YOUR CLINICAL CAREER, WITHOUT THE SHIFT PATTERN.

Ready for a change? If you love using your clinical expertise but want more balance, predictable hours and your evenings and weekends back, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

We're recruiting Clinical Assessors in Newport to conduct assessments on behalf of the DWP, using your clinical knowledge to understand how health conditions and disabilities affect people's everyday lives and functional ability.

You'll continue to use your clinical reasoning, professional judgement and communication skills in a new setting — with the added benefit of hybrid working and a Monday-Friday routine.

Same clinical expertise. No shift work. More time for you.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • £45,000-£48,000 salary
  • Hybrid working — a mix of home and office
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • No nights, weekends, bank holidays or on-call
  • 12 weeks of fully paid training
  • Structured salary progression
  • Performance and quality bonus opportunities
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave
  • Up to 6% employer pension contribution
  • Employee discounts and wellbeing support

TAKE YOUR CLINICAL SKILLS IN A NEW DIRECTION

You'll use your existing expertise to:

  • Conduct structured telephone, video and/or face-to-face assessments
  • Review medical evidence and clinical information
  • Explore how health conditions affect daily activities and functional ability
  • Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement
  • Produce clear, objective and evidence-based reports

This is an assessment and report-writing role, not hands-on clinical care.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We welcome applications from:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • Paramedics
  • Pharmacists

You'll need:

  • Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
  • At least one year of post-registration adult clinical experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Confidence analysing complex clinical information
  • The ability to work independently and make evidence-based decisions
  • Good IT skills

No previous Clinical Assessor experience? No problem. Full paid training is provided.

READY TO LEAVE SHIFT WORK BEHIND?

If you're looking for a competitive salary, hybrid working, full-time or part-time flexibility and a better work-life balance, it's time to explore something different.

Keep your clinical career moving forward. Get your time back.
