Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Help residents with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of living areas, promoting a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to drive may be beneficial for roles that require travel between locations.
• Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
• A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to those in need.
