ADHD Independent Prescriber – C & YP

Vantis Workforce Solutions is recruiting an experienced Independent Prescriber to support a specialist children’s ADHD service in Norwich.

This opportunity would suit a prescriber with experience managing ADHD medication for children and young people who is looking for flexible working arrangements. All clinical appointments are delivered face-to-face, so regular attendance at the Norwich clinic is essential.

The role

You will support children and young people through their ADHD medication pathway, working closely with families and the wider clinical team.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing suitability for ADHD medication within your scope of practice and the service’s clinical pathway.
• Initiating medication and managing titration.
• Completing follow-up appointments and medication reviews.
• Monitoring treatment response, side effects and relevant physical health observations.
• Providing clear information and guidance to children, young people and their parents or carers.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and communicating treatment plans with relevant professionals.
• Identifying and escalating clinical or safeguarding concerns appropriately.

Essential

requirements

• Current registration with the relevant UK professional regulator.
• An independent prescribing qualification appropriate to your profession, such as V300 for nurse prescribers.
• Demonstrable experience prescribing ADHD medication for children and young people.
• Confidence managing medication initiation, titration and ongoing monitoring.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families.
• Ability to attend face-to-face clinics in Norwich.
• Satisfactory references, enhanced DBS and relevant compliance checks.

Children’s ADHD prescribing experience is essential. Adult-only ADHD experience will not meet the requirements for this role.
