Site Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Fit-Out Site Manager to join a residential apartment scheme for an initial 7-month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all internal fit-out activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. You will oversee subcontractors and trades on site, monitor progress and drive the project towards successful completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all internal fit-out works across the apartment scheme.
• Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring productivity and programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor daily progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality control and site housekeeping.
• Coordinate deliveries, materials, labour and site logistics.
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure works meet drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors and wider project team.
• Manage snagging, finishing works and apartment handovers.
• Maintain accurate site records and ensure all relevant site documentation is up to date.

Candidate

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential apartment or multi-unit housing developments.
• Strong background in internal fit-out and finishing works.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing site programmes.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid at Work qualification.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive progress and maintain high standards through to completion.

Contract Details

• Duration: 7 months, freelance basis.
• Working Arrangement: Full-time, site-based.
• Day Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience.
• Start Date: 2 weeks
